OVERVIEW:
This RFP seeks to fund the following two service areas.
1. Housing Counseling and Forecloure Prevention (HS 7) This strategy aims to fund for one or more organizations that will support homeowners at risk of foreclosure, due to inability to pay property taxes, or sudden income loss, etc. In these situations, homeowners may need proactive help to negotiate with lenders.
VSHSL Strategy HS 7 Funding Available: $1,273,462
2. Housing Legal Aid (HS 8) This strategy is to fund to one or more organizations to provide housing legal aid with specialized knowledge in tenant law. These organizations should have a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of marginalized communities disproportionately impacted by high eviction rates.
