The Clearfield City CARES – Coronavirus Relief Fund (the “Clearfield City CARES Fund”) is offered pursuant to funding received by Clearfield City, through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”). Funding will be made available to a limited number of businesses that meet specific requirements set by the City.
The Clearfield City CARES Fund will use CARES Act funding, received by the City, to provide grants of a minimum of $1,000 and up to $30,000, dependent on the evidence of past revenue , as well as the number of employees at applicant business. The applicant business must demonstrate a negative impact as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic to be considered for funding.
Grant Amounts
Grant will be awarded for the following amounts, or 10% of last year’s revenue, whichever is less.
Sole Proprietor - $5,000
1-9 Employees - $15,000
10+ Employees - $30,000
Special Considerations- A qualifying business applicant may request reconsideration of the maximum grant award that is limited to 10% of last year’s revenue, or the business classification/size. Any request for reconsideration shall be made in writing, with all supporting documentation, at the time of initial application to the City. The requesting qualifying applicant presenting the basis for said request shall articulate why Special Consideration should be made, and the amount requested. A request for Special Consideration is not a guarantee of any change to the grant award limited by the business classification/size and may denied or granted in whole or in part.
