Thank you for your interest in the DCHS CDBG 2026 Capital Funding. The funding source is complicated so please read the following information carefully. The purpose of the Request For Proposals (RFP) is to solicit applications from the community to address the identified needs of the 2025–2029 King County Consolidated Plan. To see if your project is eligible, please review all of the documents within the document Library and complete the Pre-Application Process for CDBG capital non-housing projects, as described in the Requirements Section below.
To apply for human service or housing programs beyond minor home repair, please see contact information listed on the final page of General CDBG FAQ for further information and other potential funding opportunities.
The CDBG program is authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended and implemented at 24 CFR Part 570. Eligible activities include acquisition of real property, public facilities and improvements (construction or rehabilitation of public and non-profit facilities), housing rehabilitation, removal of architectural barriers to government facilities, infrastructure improvements, homeowner assistance, and others. More information on eligible activities may be found at 24 CFR Part 570 Subpart C. The amount of funding available for 2026 is estimated based on what was received in the past, and not guaranteed until HUD approval, which usually happens between March and May.
