How do I do this?

1 Create a ZoomGrants™ account (below) or log in to your existing account (above)
2 Select a Program to apply for, then click the Apply button to get started
3 Answer the questions and/or fill in the fields in each tab
4 If necessary, upload any requested documents
5 Submit your application and wait for a decision
6 If you are selected to receive funding, you might be required to submit invoices or reports through your application

TIPS:

Answers are saved automatically when you leave each field.
Turn SPELL-CHECKING on. Your browser probably has it, might as well use it.
Copying/pasting data works best when you are pasting UNFORMATTED text. (Bullets and other special characters do not transfer and are usually replaced with question marks.)

Note: Please specify: How many individuals does your applying program intend to serve annually?

Grantees may utilize JAG funds for local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice, as well as research and evaluation activities that will improve or enhance law enforcement programs related to criminal justice. Some examples include: prosecution and court programs; prevention and education programs; corrections and community corrections programs; drug treatment and enforcement programs; planning, evaluation, and technology improvement programs; crime victim and witness programs (other than compensation); and mental health programs.

New concepts and programs will be given priority as long as they meet the requirements of the 9 program areas (see Instruction Mannual 2024 for additonal information).

Project applicants are required to have an active Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number and an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to apply for funding under the JAG program. Special Instructions for Governmental Entities: As a governmental entity (City, Health District, etc.) you need not supply items that are not applicable, such as agency By-Laws, Financial Accounting Submittal, or the filing of Internal Revenue Service forms.

For a list of prohibited or unallowable uses of Local JAG funds see: JAG Grant Unallowable Costs 2024 under the Library Tab Additionally, supplanting is prohibited under JAG. Applicants cannot replace or supplant non-federal funds that have been appropriated for the same purpose. For additional guidance regarding supplanting, refer to the information provided at www.ojp.usdoj.gov/funding/other requirements.htm

You will not be able to apply for JAG funds until your pre-application has been reviewed and approved. You will receive an email indicating whether your pre-application has been approved at which point you may proceed to completing the entire JAG application. DO NOT wait until the last minute to request Pre-Application approval. Approvals will only occur during routine work hours, MON-THUR, 7AM to 5:30pm (excluding Holidays). Please complete the pre-application early in the process. Also, see additional JAG FY -2022 grant documentation under Library Tab in the Settings Tab.
