The Office of the Attorney General (“OAG”) of the District of Columbia (District) is seeking proposals from non-profit Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) interested in operating the FY24 Domestic Worker Employment Rights Grant Program. Please review the Request for Applications (RFA) for additional details and successful program implementation guidelines.
Through this funding, OAG plans to fund two initiatives:
- Education and Outreach: OAG will make up to $180,000 available to conduct education and outreach to domestic workers, hiring entities, and the public about the rights of domestic workers.
- Hazard Guidance: OAG will make up to $80,000 available to develop guidance to address the most common hazards domestic workers encounter in their workplaces and how to mitigate them.
OAG will make up to $50,000 in funding available per grant award and grant initiative, with no more than $100,000 awarded per organization for Fiscal Year 2024. Funding limits for each initiative were determined with guidance received from the Council of the District of Columbia.
Total grant funding for both initiatives will not exceed $260,000. Funding is allocated annually, and subject to appropriation and funds’ availability. Grant Award amounts vary as determined by the scope of the projects.
