ABOUT: The King County Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is pleased to release this Request for Proposal for Alternative Dispute Resolution with funding from the Veterans, Seniors and Human Services (VSHSL) and guidance from the VSHSL Implementation Plan. This alternative dispute resolution services (ADR) strategy (Housing Stability Strategy 5B) will fund an entity or entities to provide ADR services intended to resolve disputes that may lead to a tenant losing access to housing. While all eligible populations may be served through this strategy, providers funded through this strategy will prioritize serving affordable housing tenants living in King County providers’ affordable housing units.

ELIGIBILITY: This request is open to nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations and public or governmental agencies serving communities in King County, including organizations serving youth and young adults (age 18 or over) who have had system involvement with the child welfare system and/or the criminal justice system. Funds will be awarded through a process designed to leverage the skills and expertise of organizations working with affordable housing tenants and property managers and property owners throughout King County.
