This request is open to nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations and public or governmental agencies serving communities in King County. Small nonprofits, organizations led by people of color or Native and Indigenous people, and organizations serving LGBTQ+ communities of color, other culturally specific organizations and small community-based organizations are encouraged to submit proposals. Eligible applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Currently serve or meaningfully engage with seniors and/or veterans and their caregivers in King County or have a clear plan to build capacity to provide the eligible services outlined in the scope of work.
• Currently provide, or have a willingness to provide, culturally-specific supports or meaningfully partner with culturally-specific providers or equivalent community-based entities.

Priority will be given to applications that serve diverse groups or communities and are not currently receiving funding from the VSHSL, including providers receiving VSHSL funding administered through City of Seattle, Human Services Department, Aging and Disability Services (ADS). These two funding investments aim to extend reach to diverse communities with less access to caregiving supports throughout King County. In order to be considered for funding, applications from providers currently receiving VSHSL funding for caregiving supports under one or both of these strategies being administered through ADS must propose to support a group other than the current population they are serving.

King County reserves the right to select an application that supports a particularly marginalized community or provides insight into a community which has not been supported through any prior King County funding.

• Responses to Summary Questions (See Attachment A for reference)
• Completed and uploaded Geographic Service Intent Form (See Attachment B for reference)
• Completed Organizatonal Equity Chart (See chart in Attachment C for reference)
• Responses to Narrative Questions (See Attachment C for reference)
• Completed and uploaded Budget (See Attachment D-1 if applying for Caregiver Community Building or Attachment D-2 if applying for Caregiver Respite funding)
